Hi Rob, darling.

Thank you for your comment, it has very accurately. Sometimes, I also believe that what we do as artists is very close to education, and we need to be aware of this role also represent.

I am very happy about your look who we are, because it comes from afar, another reality, and because you belong to a generation far more than mine, and that means experience. This is an exchange that interesting.

I cheer so we can meet again. It would be great if you could be in Teresina again.

A big kiss. Miss you.
My English is still weird .... sorry for the translator. (rsrsrsrs)

Layane can I write you in English okay?
I like what you wrote. Your comments about art education – if I can understand enough of what you wrote in a language not my own – seem to go to the heart of the matter of what you as Nucleo could do for the people, especially the young people of Dirceu.
That is to be able to go deeper than only training, or providing entertainment or false hopes about future careers in the arts. You are right in searching for what you as a group could actually accomplish. It certainly would be difficult to measure immediately anyway. It is more a matter of giving them the inspiration to look at their world in a fresh and illuminating way. If I could be presumptuous, in a way to change their consciousness.
But you would be wrong to think that you are without tools to work simply because you lack certain skills or experience. Working with you all last October I had a chance to observe that you all despite your different temperments have qualities I think are of primary importance in being potentially great educators as well as artists. Mostly you have curiosity, critical intelligence, diligence and a great sense of humor. Perhaps sometimes you weren’t always patient with yourselves or with each other, but that’s certainly not something which can’t be improved on over time. You certainly all seem to have some form of mutual respect underneath all that back and forth. That’s cool.
This gets to where you as Nucleo have something very special – somehow it seems you all have a lot of integrity. I respect this very much. From the places I’ve been and the people I’ve worked with this isn’t always easy to find.
Can I throw a few observations your way? I know you didn’t ask, but since I cant fit them on this commentary… I send them by email to you –
Rob
