DANSMAKERS/GABRIELLA MAIORINO/NÚCLEO DO DIRCEU
An exchange/co-production project between choreographer Gabriella Maiorino/Dansmakers Amsterdam and the Brazilian collective Núcleo do Dirceu (Teresina, Piauí).

Gabriella Maiorino is Italian choreographer based in Amsterdam since 2003. Her most recent works: ANARCHISTAS, ZOO, PRAYERS, KUNIKULI, IOVIODIO, A DIVINE THREESOME.

In August 2011 Gabriella started workshop/residence during the festival “BAFO de Agosto” at Núcleo do Dirceu and since then the performers César Costa, Juliana França, Kayo Arruda, Layo Bulhão entered the process to create a piece choreographed by Gabriella. This project, done part in Brazil (september) and part in Amsterdam (October), with the welcome presence of dancer Valentina Campora, is to be presented in 20, 21, 22 and 23 October at Melkweg Theaterzaal, Amsterdam.
